The Tasmanian Chamber of Com- merce and Industry said September- quarter data showed continuing econ- omic weakness in the state's business and household sectors. TCCI chief economist Mark Bowles said the data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics showed that during the year to September, real consumer demand growth was just 0.3 per cent. Statewide, business investment fell by 22.3 per cent, compared with a national fall of 1.5 per cent. aNEW LOOKfor an OLD MATE !
