Australia's biggest feedlot operator fired a shot into the weaner market, buying about 4870--- or about 11 per cent --- of 44,250 cattle in the opening week of sales at Hamilton, Wodonga, Casterton and Naracoorte, South Aust- ralia last week. Regular buyers and restockers clai- med Swift's massive buying power had squeezed them out of the market. ''They will upset a lot of people I think,'' Riverina commission buyer Bradley Jenkins said. But the company's national feedlot manager Michael Doyle said Swift was keen to pay the market rate. The Weekly Times aNEW LOOKfor an OLD MATE !
