The highlight again was lambs, with the national record reached at Dubbo in New South Wales last week before being eclipsed at Bendigo, then Bal- larat, and Bendigo again on Monday. On Tuesday, Ballarat regained the record with a bid of $239. Lamb prices dipped slightly for some categories, but held up for light and restocker grades, as well as Merinos. Yardings were 11 per cent higher than the previous week. Meanwhile, cattle yardings are still smaller due to the rain, with falls in NSW and Victorian markets contribu- ting to a 9 per cent drop in numbers last week. Most prices held firm.
