They are neith- er culls nor discards and offer a wonderful even line of Angus heifers. They are late November and December calves, cyc- ling and ready to join. Having grown on well, they are similar in both quality and growth to the heifers Rosedale retained, just younger. They represent a great opportunity to either start or enlarge a breeding herd. All raw data, including weight, frame size, muscl- ing and marbling on the bulls will be available at the open day on April 10 and on sale day, April 12 from 2pm, to help you evaluate the bulls. The offering by the Wallace family will consist of 35 big strong bulls with exceptional figures. The focus is on length and thickness with a greater em- phasis on EBVs for fat and eye muscle. ''The bulls on offer this year are superior in all areas to other years,'' said Woodbourn principal Charles Wallace. ''The significant expense of introducing new sire lines has paid off handsomely.'' With greater emphasis on BVDV testing, inoculating for protection against cattle dis- eases, Johnes assurance (Woodbourn is MN3 -- the highest level possible), and overall vet checking, the bulls are of the highest health stan- dard and quality. With some of the highest eye muscle area bulls in the breed on offer this year, Wal- lace is excited about the bull team and going forward to future years. Freight within Tasmania and to Bass Strait will be free of charge, and bulls purchased locally will be delivered by Mr Wallace himself. There will be an open day on April 10 between 2-4pm and the bulls will be available for viewing on sale day from 9.30am. Woodbourn is 5km from Cressy. ''Angus Week is exciting and at Woodbourn we get great satisfaction from pro- ducing and selling a top- quality product,'' Mr Wallace said.
