Coles introduced new rules this month that ban its pork suppliers treating their pigs with hormones, antibiotic growth promotants or ster- oids. Most pig producers have been happy to comply but some have raised con- cerns Coles may not be applying the same rules to its imported pork products. A Coles spokesman said the retailer was making the same demands on imported pork used in its processed house-branded lines. The Weekly Times
