MEMBERS of this year's Agfest com- mittee and staff from The Mercury and Tasmanian Country toasted the success of the state's biggest rural event at a cocktail function on Friday night. The annual cocktail party, which was held on site at The Mercury marquee, was a chance for hard working committee members to briefly relax in the middle of what was a very busy three days. Andrew Holman, the recently ap- pointed editor of The Mercury who attended Agfest for the first time, said the newspaper was pleased to be associated with such a fantastic event. ''It was amazing to think that such a successful and professionally run event was put together entirely by volunteers,'' Mr Holman told the Rural Youth members.
