TAS Country : January 3rd 2013
uary 4, 2013 11 stinct Tasmanian Farmers and Graziers Association president David Gatenby says the Wallaces have made an enormous contribution to the Tasman- ian beef brand. ''They pursue excellence and it shows in their cattle. They are an example to all of us,'' he says. Today the expanded Woodbourn property covers 800ha. It runs a herd of 150 Murray Grey registered cows and 280 Angus registered cows. In addition, the Wallaces also crop broccoli, pop- pies and peas. ''That's the main reason we don't utilise artificial insemination that much,'' Charles says. ''We just don't have time. There aren't enough hours in the day.''
